Tim McGraw Returns to the Stage After Major Surgeries — And Shares It With His Daughter Audrey
In June, Tim McGraw performed his first live show in nearly a year after undergoing a challenging stretch of back-to-back major surgeries. During an appearance on The Bobby Bones Show, McGraw opened up about the difficult recovery period that kept him off the road.
After finishing his most recent tour, the country superstar revealed he underwent double knee replacement surgery. While recovering, another issue surfaced:
“In the process of recovering from my knee surgeries, my back went out again and I had to have another back surgery,” McGraw shared.
Despite the setbacks, Tim has steadily worked his way back to performing. Over the last few months, he’s taken the stage everywhere from Nashville to Michigan — and in October, he officially announced that he’d be heading to Las Vegas for a special winter residency.

Their eldest daughter, Gracie McGraw, also had a major milestone this year. In April, she performed at the legendary Carnegie Hall, prompting Tim to post a proud photo and emotional message celebrating her achievement.

During the opening night of Tim’s Las Vegas residency, fans got an unforgettable surprise when Audrey walked onstage to join her father.
