‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Music Producer and Guest Judge Lucian Piane Dies at 46
The entertainment and drag communities are mourning the loss of Lucian Piane, the accomplished music producer, composer, and longtime RuPaul’s Drag Race collaborator who has died at the age of 46.
According to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Piane died on October 12.
He had spent years working behind the scenes—and occasionally in front of the camera—helping create some of the music that became closely associated with RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s career.
Following news of his death, Drag Race production company World of Wonder shared an emotional tribute honoring both his talent and the person behind the music.
