Little Big Town Joins Star-Studded Lineup for the 16th Annual CMA Country Christmas Celebration
The holiday season officially kicked off in Nashville as CMA Country Christmas returned for its 16th year. The annual special, filmed in Music City and blending beloved Christmas classics with the warmth of country music, aired on ABC on December 2.
This year’s broadcast was hosted by Jordan Davis and Lauren Daigle, marking their first time leading the festive event. The lineup featured a variety of powerhouse performers who each brought their own spin to the season’s most iconic songs.
Last year’s hosts, Trisha Yearwood and Amy Grant, set a high bar with a lineup that included Cody Johnson, Ashley McBryde, Jon Pardi, CeCe Winans, for KING + COUNTRY, Carin León, and Brittney Spencer. But 2025’s show delivered just as many memorable holiday moments.
Little Big Town Shines with “If We Make It Through December”
One of the standout performances of the night came from Little Big Town, who delivered a beautifully chilling rendition of Merle Haggard’s “If We Make It Through December.” Known for their harmonies and emotional depth, the quartet once again proved why they are a holiday-season favorite.
This performance continues a strong Christmas streak for the group. In 2024, Little Big Town hosted their own TV special, Christmas at the Opry, and this year they’re headlining a three-night Christmas residency at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium from December 2–4.
Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Ryman & New Holiday Album
Little Big Town is fully embracing the season this year. Alongside their CMA performance, the group released a fresh holiday project, The Christmas Record, featuring both festive originals and seasonal classics such as:
“Someday at Christmas”
“Christmas Time Is Here”
They also announced their long-dreamed-of Ryman Christmas shows, telling fans back in June:
“It’s always been a dream of ours to play Christmas shows at the historic Ryman. It’s finally happening! Please come spend your holidays with us.”
With stunning harmonies, timeless arrangements, and a deep love for holiday music, Little Big Town continues to make December feel a little warmer every year.
