Lauren Alaina and Lainey Wilson are celebrating the release of their hilariously confident new duet, “Thicc As Thieves,” the only way two country queens could: by launching a viral dance challenge dedicated to curves, confidence, and country-girl attitude.

They later posted a full demonstration — boots kicking, hips swaying, and plenty of shimmies to match the song’s Luke Bryan–inspired breakdown. Those lyrics nod directly to Bryan’s 2011 hit “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)”, and the dance mirrors that energy with its right-kick/left-kick groove and bell-bottom-powered shimmy line.
Fans immediately jumped in, filling the comments with predictions that the dance would explode on TikTok. One wrote, “This will be the next viral dance — calling it now.” Another joked, “This song is gonna blow the speakers out of my boat.”
Even Luke Bryan dropped in with a simple, approving: “Let’s go.”

Luke Bryan Reacts to Being Name-Checked
Bryan, who co-wrote “Thicc As Thieves,” said he was flattered to hear his iconic party anthem referenced in the track.
“I was very flattered they asked me to be part of it,” he told iHeart Country, adding that he’s a massive fan of both women. “Lainey is so great for country music, and Lauren has one of the best voices in the world.”
A Song About Curves, Confidence & Country Girls
“Thicc As Thieves” is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Southern girls, denim that fits just right, and embracing your figure with pride. Alaina and Wilson lean fully into their signature accents and jokingly compare their curves, all while showing off their tight harmonies and undeniable chemistry.
The chorus sums it all up:
“We’re thicker than our accents, thicker than our hair / Thicker than the Georgia and Louisiana air…
Us Southern girls, we’re thicc as thieves.”
The song appears on Alaina’s new EP Unlocked, her first project since signing with Big Loud Records. The six-song collection features cuts from Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Ella Langley, and a roster of top Nashville writers.

For Alaina, the EP marks a fresh chapter after years of nonstop touring and personal growth.
“This music comes from my heart and my hometown,” she shared. “I’m more me today than I’ve ever been.”
What’s Next
Alaina will spend the summer performing at fairs and festivals before joining Pentatonix on the North American leg of their world tour. Wilson, still riding high on multiple CMA wins and a massive career surge, continues her packed tour schedule as well.
And thanks to “Thicc As Thieves,” both stars now have a viral dance challenge dominating country TikTok — proving once again that when these two team up, it’s always a party.
