Dallas Cowboys Reveal 2025 Thanksgiving Halftime Performer
The Dallas Cowboys have officially announced the halftime performer for their 2025 Thanksgiving Day game — a yearly tradition that doubles as the national kickoff for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. The show has become one of the most-watched musical moments of the season, drawing attention to the organization’s work supporting millions of Americans in need.
This year, the spotlight belongs to Post Malone.
Post Malone Headlines the 2025 Red Kettle Kickoff
After weeks of teasing, the Cowboys confirmed on November 16 that Post Malone would take the stage, following recent standout performers Lainey Wilson (2024) and Dolly Parton (2023).
The Texas-born superstar shared his excitement leading up to the event:
“I’m from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years. It’s a real honor to be part of the Red Kettle Kickoff and help bring hope to so many people.”
For both the Cowboys and The Salvation Army, the performance marks a powerful start to their annual fundraising season.
A Deep Texas Connection
Post Malone’s ties to the franchise go far beyond fandom. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed that the singer practically grew up inside the team’s old stadium — literally.
Jones shared that Post’s father, who worked for the Cowboys’ concessions department, often spent evenings at Texas Stadium while on duty, and young Post would sometimes stay overnight with him:
“He used to come over every night and sleep in the stadium… he slept there for years.”
For the “Finer Things” singer, taking the Thanksgiving stage wasn’t just a major career moment — it was a return home.
A Halftime Show Full of Emotion and Energy
Post Malone delivered a three-song set during halftime of the Cowboys vs. Chiefs matchup at AT&T Stadium on November 27. Dressed in customized Cowboys gear and wearing a #94 pin to honor defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, who tragically passed away earlier this month, he kicked off the performance with “Wrong Ones” from his album F-1 Trillion.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders joined him for the high-energy track “Wow,” a song that famously gives a nod to the team.
He closed with his smash hit “I Had Some Help” — his chart-topping collaboration with Morgan Wallen — sending the crowd into full singalong mode.
Before leaving the stage, he shouted to the crowd:
“I love you so much Dallas, Texas. Make some noise for the best team in the world, the Dallas Cowboys!”
