Ella Langley joins forces with Miranda Lambert for a gritty new anthem that could redefine modern country.

Ella Langley to Release “Choosin’ Texas,” a Powerful Collaboration with Miranda Lambert

Rising country star Ella Langley is gearing up to drop her brand-new single, “Choosin’ Texas,” this Friday, October 17, and anticipation is already sky-high. The track, co-written with Miranda Lambert, promises to merge Langley’s southern grit with Lambert’s fearless storytelling — a pairing that’s equal parts authentic, raw, and unapologetically country.

A Collaboration Born from Country Soul

Ella Langley has carved her name as one of Nashville’s most promising new voices with honest, no-frills songwriting. From “Excuse the Mess” to her duet with Koe Wetzel, “That’s Why We Fight,” she’s shown a knack for exploring heartbreak, strength, and independence.

Teaming up with Miranda Lambert — the Texas-born hitmaker behind “The House That Built Me” and “Kerosene” — elevates the project even further. Lambert, a longtime champion of strong female songwriters, adds her signature bite and storytelling finesse to the mix.

What “Choosin’ Texas” Means

While fans haven’t yet heard the song, the title alone has sparked curiosity. “Choosin’ Texas” sounds like more than just a place — it’s a statement. It could symbolize choosing roots over fame, truth over comfort, or authenticity over compromise.

Both artists are known for writing songs steeped in self-awareness and southern pride, making the title a natural reflection of their shared creative spirit.

What It Might Sound Like

Langley’s sound blends outlaw country attitude with southern rock edge, while Lambert’s influence tends to bring sharp lyrics and melodic storytelling. Listeners can likely expect a stripped-down, emotionally charged sound — acoustic guitars, harmony-driven choruses, and a touch of Texas twang.

If it follows the path of Lambert’s past collaborations (like “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” or The Marfa Tapes project), “Choosin’ Texas” will probably lean toward an organic, live-in-the-room energy that highlights storytelling over studio polish.

A Defining Step for Ella Langley

This release marks a major moment in Langley’s fast-rising career. After touring with big names and earning praise for her powerhouse vocals, she’s now entering a new era — one defined by songwriting credibility and artistic independence.

Collaborating with Miranda Lambert signals not just creative growth, but also an acknowledgment from Nashville’s elite that Ella Langley is one of the next great country storytellers.

With “Choosin’ Texas,” Langley isn’t just releasing another song — she’s cementing her place in the lineage of strong, fearless women shaping the sound of modern country music.
