Hillary Scott Welcomes Fourth Daughter, Selah Jean: “Our Hearts Are Full”
Lady A’s Hillary Scott and husband Chris Tyrrell have officially expanded their family once more! The couple welcomed their fourth daughter, Selah Jean, on Friday, July 25, a rep confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE.
“We are over the moon to introduce you to Selah Jean! She was born 7/25/25,” the proud parents shared. “She has filled our hearts with joy, and her sisters are already the BEST helpers.”
The pair revealed that their newest arrival’s name holds deep meaning — “pause and reflect” and “God is gracious.”
“In the few short days she’s been here, we can already see that she embodies both of those phrases,” they continued. “She truly feels like the most priceless gift — like Christmas in July!”
A House Full of Girls
Selah joins three big sisters — Eisele Kaye (12) and twins Emory JoAnn and Betsy Mack (7) — completing what Scott affectionately calls her “household of little ladies.”
Scott first announced her pregnancy in February with a sweet black-and-white Instagram post. The photo featured her daughters’ wrists adorned with friendship bracelets spelling out “big sister,” alongside a bin labeled “Maternity.”
“Chris, Eisele, Emory, Betsy, and I are overjoyed to report that this summer our family will be made complete with the most precious little sister joining the family,” she wrote. “I’m dusting off that maternity bin from the storage room ONE more time.”
“We are thankful that God has entrusted us with a household of little ladies,” she added, praising Tyrrell as “the absolute BEST girl dad.”
A Journey of Faith and Family
Scott and Tyrrell have long been open about their family’s journey — including the heartbreaking miscarriage they suffered in 2015. Since then, they’ve often spoken about the strength and gratitude that experience inspired in them.
In 2018, Scott announced the arrival of their twin girls with a touching post:
“Our family is thankful and proud to announce the arrival of our precious baby girls,” she wrote at the time. “They were born in the early hours of January 29, 2018. Thank you, Lord, for healthy babies.”
