The First Lady of America visited families damaged by wildfires in Los Angeles and talked in Serbian/Croatian.
Melania Trump chatted with locals at the Los Angeles wildfire site, including one who spoke to her in Serbo-Croatian, a language that is extremely similar to Slovenian. Mrs. Trump made an immediate response in Serbo-Croatian due to the fact that she is of Slovenian descent and was brought up in Yugoslavia.
“Good afternoon,” remarked one of the women who had not only lost her home but also her home in the fire.Who are you doing? Have a nice afternoon!” Responding was Melania.
The two gave each other a hug and a kiss on the cheek before beginning their conversation about the woman’s journey to the United States and the losses she suffered as a result of the wildfire. A concerted attempt was made by Melania to encourage her.
