    U.S. Senate Rejects Senator Bernie Sanders’ Effort to Block $20 Billion Arms Sale to Israel

    In a decisive action showing the bipartisan commitment to U.S.-Israel ties, the Senate Senator Sanders, a long-time advocate for human rights and a critic of the Israeli government’s conduct in Gaza,

    the resolutions were presented as a response to the increasing number of civilian casualties that occurred during the conflict. There have been thousands of Palestinian civilians, including women and children, who have been killed or displaced as a result of Israeli airstrikes that have targeted Hamas members, according to reports.
