Kelly Clarkson has spoken frankly about the difficulties she has had since her divorce. After her marriage dissolved, she had to deal with a lot of things, including the financial ramifications. It would appear that the singer is now obtaining the redemption she has been seeking.
Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock have reached a settlement in a legal battle over a $2,641,374 commission he overpaid for Clarkson’s management. The couple, who divorced in 2021, had previously been charged with theft. Blackstock must now repay the amount.
Blackstock allegedly plans to file an appeal of the ruling.
After her stint as a coach on “The Voice,” he is now $1,983,155.70 in debt to Kelly Clarkson. For her work with Norwegian Cruise Lines, she received $208,125; for her association with Wayfair, $450,000; and for hosting the Billboard Music Awards three times, she received $93.30.
The winner of “American Idol” was awarded earnings from her appearances on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” after her ex-husband, Remington Alexander, filed for divorce in 2020. The couple had a custody dispute, but the divorce was finalized in March 2022. Clarkson was given main custody and property. She relocated to New York City, citing COVID as a factor in her breakup.
She informed her followers that she is enjoying her own time and has no plans to date soon after the publication of her life-inspired album Chemistry.

She boasted, “I have two kids, two dogs, three rabbits, a hamster, multiple jobs — there’s a lot going on.” She went on to say that it’s “hard to start over” when “you think you’re going to spend the rest of your life with somebody, and you don’t.”
