Lainey Wilson Is Getting Her Own Netflix Documentary

Lainey Wilson is firmly planted at the top of country music right now — and soon, fans will get an even deeper look at how she got there.

According to Deadline, Wilson has partnered with Netflix for a brand-new documentary titled Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool.

“I couldn’t be more excited that this documentary is going to be on Netflix,” Wilson said in a statement. “This was such a meaningful project to make, and I hope people who watch it walk away knowing that no dream is too big — and that staying true to who you are will always lead you where you’re meant to be.”

Longtime fans may recognize a familiar thread. Back in 2024, Wilson teamed up with ABC for Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country, which focused on her upbringing and the earliest chapters of her career.

This upcoming project, however, promises something much deeper. Keepin’ Country Cool will chronicle pivotal moments in Wilson’s rise while also pulling back the curtain on her personal journey — the challenges, the victories, and the relentless grind of performing night after night in front of massive crowds.

Inspired by Wilson’s 2024 hit Country’s Cool Again, the documentary is directed by Amy Scott. Producers on the film include Angus Wall, Terry Leonard, Kent Kubena, Thomas Tull, Jillian Share, Jason Owen, and Jen Gorton, with Mandelyn Monchick, Josh Miller, Katie Admire, Jillian Apfelbaum, and Nicolas Gordon serving as executive producers.

Scott described the project as a rare opportunity to capture an artist in motion.

“What started as a dream-like idea became a deeply personal journey alongside one of the most compelling artists working today,” she said. “Lainey’s story is raw, inspiring, and grounded in authenticity — and there’s no better place to share it than Netflix.”

The documentary will premiere globally on Wednesday, April 22.

A Big Week Ahead at the Grammys

As if a Netflix documentary weren’t enough, Wilson could also be adding more hardware to her shelf in just days.

The Grammy Awards air live this Sunday, February 1, and Wilson is nominated in three categories.

Her song Somewhere Over Laredo is up for both Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. She’s also nominated alongside Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire for their collaboration Trailblazer in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category.

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will broadcast live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1, 2026. The ceremony begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will stream on Paramount+.

Between award-season buzz and a global Netflix premiere on the horizon, Lainey Wilson’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down — and fans are about to see just how much work it took to get here.
