Kane Brown opened the 2025 MLB All-Star Game in Atlanta with a performance that blended country soul and hometown pride. Standing atop a circular red stage at Truist Park, the 31-year-old Georgia native delivered a heartfelt rendition of Ray Charles’ classic “Georgia On My Mind.” Dressed in a sleeveless Braves jersey tucked into jeans with a gleaming belt buckle, Brown leaned into his southern drawl as two background singers and a stripped-back band let his vocals shine.

A Special Connection to Baseball
Ahead of the show, Brown admitted to MLB Network that stepping onto the Braves’ field meant more than just music. “I ain’t no Ray Charles,” he joked, “but yeah, it’s awesome. I’m excited to perform it and just to be in the Braves Stadium. I’m pumped.” He also recalled his own baseball days, starting at just three years old. Playing shortstop and pitcher, he developed a love for the sport early on: “Everybody else was playing in the dirt, and I was running from shortstop to first to get the guy out. I hit one out of the park — but a lot of inside-the-park homers.”
This wasn’t his first time tackling the Georgia anthem; fans may remember him performing it at the 59th ACM Awards. But singing it in Atlanta, surrounded by fans and the spirit of the game, carried extra weight.
A Star-Studded Pre-Game Ceremony
The All-Star pre-show featured a lineup as electric as the game itself. Zac Brown Band powered through The Star-Spangled Banner, Lauren Spencer Smith performed O Canada, and Atlanta icons Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri hyped the crowd with “Welcome to Atlanta.”
The game itself lived up to the hype: after nine innings ended in a 6–6 tie, a dramatic home run swing-off crowned the National League the winner, with Philadelphia’s Kyle Schwarber blasting three straight homers to secure MVP honors.

Brown’s All-Star appearance capped a busy year following the January release of his latest album, The High Road, and his new summer single “2 Pair.” He’s fresh off a sold-out U.S. arena tour and will continue performing at festivals before heading overseas for the European leg of The High Road Tour.
