Riley Green and Jelly Roll’s Grand Ole Opry Duet Leaves Fans Questioning Why This Explosive Country Anthem Was Ever Overlooked

Riley Green & Jelly Roll Deliver Knockout “Copenhagen In A Cadillac” at Grand Ole Opry

Riley Green’s “Copenhagen In A Cadillac” might just be one of the most underrated gems on his latest album, Ain’t My Last Rodeo. Teaming up with Jelly Roll, the track is a rowdy country boy anthem — picture mudding in the fields, a dip in your lip, and the carefree spirit its title promises.

Last week, the unexpected but perfectly matched duo brought that energy to life at The Big 98’s Friendsgiving fundraiser show, held at the Grand Ole Opry.

    A Collaboration That Just Works
Before the album dropped, Green admitted he wasn’t sure how fans would take to the pairing. On the surface, they couldn’t look more different — Green with his clean-cut country image and Jelly Roll with his trademark tattoos — but on stage, their chemistry is undeniable. Their voices complement each other so naturally that the collaboration feels effortless.

Seated on a stool in the historic Opry circle, Green opened the performance with a laid-back confidence, delivering the first verse with ease. After the chorus, Jelly Roll stepped in and showcased his powerhouse vocals, proving once again that behind the larger-than-life personality is a seriously talented singer. The stripped-down setting let every note shine, reminding the audience just how much depth both artists bring.

    Fun, Energy, and Connection
The two fed off each other’s energy, laughing and trading playful jabs, which only pulled the crowd in closer. The audience stayed locked in from start to finish, clearly enjoying the unique pairing as much as the performers themselves.

As they reached the final lines, the band softened their playing, letting Green and Jelly Roll’s voices take center stage:

    Copenhagen in a Cadillac
Spinnin’ mud tires while we’re spendin’ our cash
You’ve never seen country look quite like that, yeah
    Copenhagen in a Cadillac.

    Awards Show Worthy
By the end, it was clear this wasn’t just another live set — it was a moment. The blend of their voices, the easy camaraderie, and the pure fun radiating off the stage made for a performance that could easily hold its own at any major awards show. Simply put, this duo is one we need to see more of.
