The cabinet above the refrigerator is one of the most underused spaces in many kitchens. It often becomes a catch-all for miscellaneous items that are forgotten over time, but with a little organization, it can become a highly functional storage area. Because it is less convenient to access than lower cabinets, it is best suited for items that you only need occasionally. Small kitchen appliances such as blenders, food processors, stand mixers, and specialty cookware are ideal candidates. Baking sheets, cutting boards, pot lids, roasting pans, and other bulky kitchen tools can also be stored there.
