Keith Urban Receives ACM Triple Crown Award with Star-Studded Tribute at the 2025 ACM Awards

The 60th Annual ACM Awards delivered a career-defining moment for Keith Urban, as the country superstar was formally honored with the prestigious Triple Crown Award — and in true ACM style, the celebration came with a powerhouse tribute from some of country’s biggest names.

A Rare Honor Nearly Two Decades in the Making
The Triple Crown Award is one of the Academy of Country Music’s highest honors, awarded only to artists who have won:

    New Artist of the Year

    Male/Female Artist of the Year

    Entertainer of the Year

Urban completed the Triple Crown requirements back in 2019 when he won Entertainer of the Year, following his earlier wins for New Male Artist (2001) and Male Vocalist of the Year (2005 & 2006). But it wasn’t until this year’s 60th ACM Awards, held on May 8 in Frisco, Texas, that the trophy was finally placed in his hands — in front of a live audience.

A Performance Fit for a Legend
Before the official presentation, Urban was celebrated with a tribute featuring three incredible performances of his greatest hits:

🎤 Megan Moroney – “Stupid Boy”
✨ With her signature glitter guitar and a commanding stage presence, Moroney delivered a hauntingly beautiful take on Urban’s 2006 hit, showing a whole new layer of emotional depth.

🎤 Chris Stapleton – “Blue Ain’t Your Color”
🎸 Stapleton brought his soulful grit to one of Urban’s most beloved modern ballads, leaving the room in stunned silence before erupting in applause.

🎤 Brothers Osborne – “Where the Blacktop Ends”
🔥 The brothers turned back the clock to 1999 with a rocking, high-energy performance that had Keith and Nicole Kidman on their feet, dancing in the crowd.

To cap off the set, Keith Urban himself joined Brothers Osborne on stage, guitar in hand, for an unforgettable jam session that reminded everyone exactly why he’s a staple of the genre.

    A Heartfelt Acceptance
After the music ended, Reba McEntire took the stage to present Urban with his long-overdue Triple Crown Award. In his acceptance speech, Keith thanked his fans, team, and family — pausing for a special shout-out to his wife, Nicole Kidman, and their daughters.

“It took 18 years to get here… but I wouldn’t trade a single one,” he said, beaming with gratitude. “This award means the world to me — because it says you stuck with me, and I stuck with it.”

    A Legacy Sealed in Gold
Keith Urban’s journey to the Triple Crown reflects not just his talent, but his consistency, creativity, and connection to fans across generations. From his early 2000s breakthrough to his current stadium-selling reign, Urban’s influence continues to shape country music — and the 60th ACM Awards made sure the world remembered it.

🎉 Congratulations, Keith Urban — a Triple Crown champion, finally crowned.
