Miranda Lambert Returns to the ACM Stage with a Raw, Emotional Performance of “Run” and a Fiery Duet of “Kerosene” with Ella Langley

Nobody owns the ACM Awards stage quite like Miranda Lambert — and at the 60th annual ceremony, the most-awarded artist in ACM history proved exactly why she remains a cornerstone of the genre.

With 38 ACM wins and 75 nominations to her name, Lambert’s legacy is unmatched. Even without a nomination this year, her presence at the milestone celebration was not only welcomed — it was essential.

Miranda Performs “Run” for the First Time on Live TV
In one of the most poignant moments of the night, Miranda performed her deeply personal ballad “Run”, marking the song’s live debut.

Written solely by Lambert and released in February 2025, “Run” has stirred speculation among fans due to its emotional depth and themes of quiet heartbreak and reflection. Many believe it was inspired by her highly publicized split from Blake Shelton, though Lambert has never confirmed the song’s subject.

“I wasn’t ever ready to perform it until now,” Lambert told Kelleigh Bannen in a recent interview. “Emotional songs — you don’t really grow out of them… It’s an admission of human error, too. It’s an apology.”

With just her voice, a spotlight, and a still stage, Miranda laid her heart bare, delivering a haunting rendition that had the room holding its breath. It was vulnerable, mature, and utterly captivating.

Celebrating 20 Years of “Kerosene” with Ella Langley
As if one unforgettable performance wasn’t enough, Lambert returned later in the show to honor the 20th anniversary of her debut album with a high-octane performance of “Kerosene” — and she didn’t do it alone.

Joining her onstage was Ella Langley, this year’s most-nominated ACM artist and the latest powerhouse making waves in the genre. Together, the two ignited the stage, trading verses, strutting with matching edge, and showing fans what two generations of badass country women look like when they share the spotlight.

It was a passing of the torch moment — and a reminder that Lambert’s influence runs deep, especially among the genre’s next trailblazers.

A Career of Fire and Feeling
Whether she’s tearing through fiery anthems like “Kerosene” or revealing the cracks in her armor with songs like “Run,” Miranda Lambert remains a force of unmatched duality — a storyteller who can be both vulnerable and unflinching.

On a night that honored six decades of country music, Lambert showed she’s still very much shaping its future.
