My Fiancé Belittled Me in Front of His “Smart” Friends, So I Gave Him a Taste of His Own Medicine

The fact that my fiance insulted me in front of his “smart” buddies prompted me to give him a taste of his own medicine instead.

On the other hand, I work as a hairstylist, and my fiance, Stan, is a lawyer. Although we come from professional backgrounds that are different from one another, I have always admired his work, and I thought that he would respect mine as well. On the other hand, something shifted while he was having dinner with his pals from law school.

Possibly attracted by my one-of-a-kind point of view, one of his pals inquired about my interpretation of a particular situation. In spite of this, Stan mockingly intervened, “Don’t bother asking her; she’s just a hairdresser.” This occurred before I had the opportunity to react. In spite of the fact that I was overcome with feelings of rage and humiliation, I made the decision not to make a scene. I, on the other hand, put on a smile and responded in a low voice, “Okay, thanks Stan, I’m so glad you made sure I didn’t embarrass you.”

When I arrived at work the following day, I immediately began to formulate a strategy in my head. I made up my mind to make Stan repent of ever putting me down in front of other people.

When I had finished putting everything under control at the salon, I called him and informed him that I had something special in store for him. A sly grin appeared on my face as I greeted him upon his arrival at his residence.

“What’s the surprise?” he inquired, displaying an evident sign of interest.

I took him to the living room, where I had erected a temporary salon station that included a chair, a mirror, and all of the essential hairstyling instruments. I brought him there.

When I asked him to take a seat, I gestured for him to do so. “I thought we could have a little role reversal tonight,” I shared.

Although a look of bewilderment appeared on his face, he nonetheless complied and sat down in the chair. With a glint in my eye, I wrapped a cape around his shoulders and started to perform my magic on him.

Over the course of the following hour, I painstakingly groomed his hair, focusing all of my rage and determination into each brushstroke and snip of the scissors. And as I worked, I couldn’t help but take pleasure in the sight of him writhing uncomfortably in the chair, coming to terms with the fact that he had made a mistake in his behavior.

After I had completed everything, I turned the chair around so that it was facing the mirror, which revealed his new appearance. Disbelief caused his jaw to drop, and for the first time in his life, he was at a loss for words.

During the time that he was admiring his mirror, I couldn’t help but grin. “How does it feel to be on the receiving end of a little belittlement, Stan?” The tone of my voice was oozing with contentment as I taunted.

The message that I was attempting to send was finally understood by him, as he glanced at me with an embarrassed expression. And at that same instant, I was under the impression that he would never again underestimate me.

Beginning on that day onward, our relationship shifted into a new dynamic that was characterized by mutual respect and comprehension. While we were laughing together over his new hairstyle, I couldn’t help but feel thankful that I had the opportunity to teach him a vital lesson about the significance of treating others with kindness and respect, regardless of the job that they hold.
