After leaving his mother Diana out of his life for a considerable amount of time, Adam returns home to find that their home is in ruins and that his mother is currently residing in a care facility. Diana took on additional babysitting jobs in order to help her earn money for a trip to New York City to celebrate Adam’s graduation.
