    TRAGIC LOSS. The Funniest Man in America has passed away today

    A heart condition was the cause of death for comedian James Gregory, who was known as “the Funniest Man in America.” Gregory passed away on May 9th. With a heavy heart, his family shared the news of his passing.

    drawing attention to the fact that he left behind a legacy of making countless people laugh. In 1946, James was born in the city of Lithonia, Georgia.

    When he was 11 years old, he started working at the grocery business that his family owned. At the age of 36, he made the move from serving in the Marines to comedy, and he immediately became well-known in the southeastern region of the United States.

    During his 41-year career, he entertained United States military personnel all around the world. Both Martha Anne and Mary Jane were his nieces.
