Miranda Lambert Heartbroken After Losing Beloved Mini Horses Sugar Pie and Adrianna

Miranda Lambert Mourns the Loss of Her Two Beloved Mini Horses

Miranda Lambert is grieving two of her longtime companions. Over the weekend, the country superstar shared that her cherished mini horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna, passed away. They had been part of her life—and her farm family—for nearly two decades.

Lambert posted a collection of photos and videos highlighting the joy the two brought her over the years, noting that she had spent 18 years with them. They were constant sources of comfort, humor, and affection, even as her career kept her on the road.

She reflected on the bittersweet reality of being devoted to animals: the joy they bring, and the heartache when the time comes to say goodbye. Lambert also thanked the caretakers who helped look after Sugar Pie and Adrianna while she toured, making sure they always had the best possible life.

The tribute struck a chord with fans and fellow artists, who flooded her comments with support. Junk Gypsy wrote, “All horses go to heaven,” while many others sent condolences and messages of love.

Animal lovers know Lambert’s heart well. Beyond her own farm full of dogs, cats, horses, and rescue animals, she has made it a mission to advocate for vulnerable pets. Through MuttNation Foundation, the nonprofit she co-founded with her mother Bev in 2009, Lambert has helped raise more than $10 million to support shelters, improve spay-and-neuter access, and assist rescues during emergencies.

The foundation’s programs include the MuttNation–Tractor Supply Relief for Rescues Fund, which offers support after natural disasters, and the It Takes Balls initiative, focused on spay/neuter education. MuttNation also partners with Tractor Supply Company for a line of pet toys and products that help fund the organization’s work.

While Sugar Pie and Adrianna may be gone, the impact they had on Lambert — and the love she continues to pour back into the animal world — remains stronger than ever.
