Rag’n’Bone Man Shares Hospital Photo After Cancelling Shows
Rag’n’Bone Man has updated fans on his health after being forced to cancel his shows, posting a photo from his hospital bed.
The 40-year-old singer, real name Rory Graham, had been due to perform in Kaunas, Lithuania, on Tuesday, but had to call off the concert just hours before taking the stage due to illness.
The following day, he took to Instagram to share a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed in Lithuania, revealing he was “stuck” there. While he didn’t specify the reason for his admission, he apologised to fans for missing the show and said he’d much rather have been performing.
“Being stuck in hospital in Lithuania was not on my list of s**t to do before you die!” he wrote. “Anyone watching anything good? I’ve got lots of time to kill. Sorry to anyone that had tickets to my shows. Trust me I’d rather be on stage!”
Fans quickly filled the comments with well wishes and film suggestions. Messages included: “Get strong and back on stage… you’ll bounce back”, “Hope you’re feeling better and it’s nothing serious”, and “Wishing you a speedy recovery Rory.”
On Tuesday, an official statement announced the Kaunas cancellation, explaining that the singer had “unfortunately fallen ill” and was “seeking medical care.” It expressed regret for disappointing fans who may have travelled or made special plans, adding that Rory would be working to reschedule a show in Lithuania. Ticket holders were advised to contact their point of purchase for refunds.
Rag’n’Bone Man is currently in the middle of a tour, with dates in Poland later this week and Cardiff at the end of the month. Away from music, he’s also set to take part in the next series of Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, filming later this year. A source told The Sun he’s “really excited” to get into the tent, especially for his young son to see him on TV.
The BRIT Award winner has previously said Bake Off would be the only reality show he’d consider. During lockdown, he discovered a love for baking while spending time at home with his son, once telling Sky News: “My son enjoys cakes, like a lot of three-year-olds do.”
