Kane Brown Brings 10-Year-Old Fan Onstage for Dream Duet of “Thank God”

During a stop on his High and Alive Tour at the Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheatre in Minnesota, Kane Brown created a once-in-a-lifetime moment for a young fan. While performing his set, Brown noticed 10-year-old Emerie Brown in the crowd holding a bright pink sign asking, “Can I sing ‘Thank God’?”—his romantic duet with wife Katelyn Brown.

Since Katelyn wasn’t at the show, Kane made a split-second decision and invited Emerie up on stage.

“Are you gonna sing the crap out of this song? This is your stage!” he said with a smile, guiding her to center stage.

As the music began, Brown took the first verse before the two joined forces on the chorus. Dressed in a shirt that read “Kane’s Biggest Fan,” Emerie stunned the crowd as she confidently handled Katelyn’s verse, flawlessly singing every word and even nailing the harmonies.

Brown looked visibly impressed, grinning throughout the performance and harmonizing with her as if they’d been singing together for years.

“You killed it!” he told her as they hugged and posed for selfies. Emerie took a final bow before leaving the stage to thunderous applause.

A Dream Come True — Literally

Emerie later told local news that she snuck the sign in, despite a “no signs” policy at the venue. She was lifted onto the stage by Brown’s security team and could hardly believe what was happening.

“We kind of had to sneak the sign in… Then I got lifted up by his security. And the second I knew, I was on stage.”

Her mom, Miranda Fann, wasn’t at the concert but watched it unfold live through a FaceTime call from Emerie’s cousin.

“She’s been dreaming about it for years, and she literally had a dream the night before that she was going to do it,” Fann shared.

    About the Song “Thank God”

“Thank God,” a duet co-written by Josh Hoge, Jaxson Free, Kyle Fishman, Christian Davis, and Jared Mullins, is a standout track from Brown’s 2022 album Different Man. The song took years to come together as Kane and Katelyn waited for the perfect duet—and when it arrived, they both knew it.

“We kept getting songs coming in… but it never felt right. Then ‘Thank God’ came along and we both fell in love with it,” Brown previously shared.

    What’s Next for Kane Brown

Kane Brown is riding high following the January release of his latest album, The High Road, and a massively successful U.S. arena tour. His newest single, “2 Pair,” is quickly gaining momentum as a summer anthem, and he’s set to continue performing at festivals and headlining shows before taking the second leg of his tour to Europe and the UK.

But no matter how big the stages get, moments like this one in Minnesota—where a superstar paused everything to lift up a young fan—remind us why fans love Kane Brown: not just for the music, but for his heart.
