    Reba McEntire and Rex Linn: Country’s Sweethearts Steal the Show at Opry 100 Celebration

    The Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary celebration was a star-studded event that delivered unforgettable performances and iconic moments—but for Reba McEntire and Rex Linn, it was also a touching night out filled with love, music, and happy tears.

    NBC’s Opry 100: A Live Celebration, a three-hour special honoring the legendary institution, kicked off with none other than Reba herself. The country music icon opened the show with a fiery performance of “You Ain’t Woman Enough” and followed it with a powerful duet of “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” alongside fellow country queen Trisha Yearwood.

    After the spotlight faded, Reba returned to her seat next to longtime partner Rex Linn, where cameras caught her visibly moved—tearing up during several performances. It wasn’t just a professional milestone, but a deeply personal evening shared with someone who’s become her constant companion.

    “The Tots”: A Love Story That’s All Heart
    Though Reba and Rex had known each other for years, their romantic journey began in January 2020. By October, McEntire made things official on her Living & Learning podcast. “He’s very special,” she said, explaining that she couldn’t keep quiet about their connection. “I put myself in his shoes and thought, ‘If he didn’t mention me, I’d be crushed.’”

    Not long after, Linn melted hearts on Instagram by calling Reba his “TATER TOT,” to which she affectionately replied with her own nickname for him: “SUGAR TOT.” Together, they go by “The Tots”—a moniker that perfectly fits their down-to-earth charm.

    The couple’s chemistry isn’t just reserved for red carpets and concerts. McEntire and Linn also star together in NBC’s sitcom Happy’s Place, which was recently renewed for a second season. Set in a Tennessee tavern, the series has given audiences a glimpse into the duo’s effortless dynamic both on and off camera.

    Their co-stars can’t help but gush over them. “They’re so cute that they’re gross,” joked castmate Belissa Escobedo in a recent interview. “I love seeing them be happy… it’s really sweet.”

    “They’re also very supportive of each other,” added Pablo Castelblanco. “They have different acting styles—Rex loves to rehearse, and Reba’s more relaxed—but they balance each other out beautifully.”

    A Night to Remember
    As the final chords played and the curtain fell on Opry 100, it wasn’t just a celebration of country music’s legacy—it was a celebration of love, longevity, and shared journeys.
