Princes William and Harry, estranged by years of distance and duty, reunited for the first and only time this year—not for diplomacy, but for love. It was their mother’s 63rd birthday, and they chose to honor her not with speeches or ceremony, but with something far more personal: silence, song, and memory. Inside a quiet London hotel suite, with only a piano and a flickering candle between them, the brothers shared stories, laughter, and finally, a trembling duet of the song they once sang for Diana as children. Staff standing nearby were said to be frozen by emotion—some sobbing silently—as the future king and his brother, stripped of status, became only sons again. When the final note faded, Harry turned to William and whispered, “She would’ve loved this,” to which William replied, “She never left.” And in that moment, every heart in the room broke—and began to heal.

After Conan O’Brien picked him out among the star-studded audience for wearing a casual outfit to the lavish Academy Awards, Adam Sandler loudly stomped out of the Dolby Theatre.

Ahead of the 97th Academy Awards, which recognize the finest in Hollywood, Hollywood’s A-list walked the red carpet outside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 2.

At the season’s final major awards ceremony, celebrities made a big splash with their most magnificent outfits, which featured sweeping gowns, dramatic silhouettes, tailored suits, and an abundance of sparkle.

    Then Adam Sandler came along.

    Casual and comfortable
TV comedian Conan O’Brien, 61, who was hosting the 2025 Oscars, stated, “It’s important that everyone is properly dressed, okay?” “You’re wearing nice clothes. Adam.

Sandler was sat in the audience, surrounded by sophisticated celebrities dressed in their finest Oscar attire, when O’Brien delivered his eagerly awaited opening monologue.

“What’s up, my brother, Conan?” stated the 58-year-old Happy Gilmore star, who was seated in an aisle seat with his Steph Curry sneakers and shorts on and the hood of his light blue hoodie covering his head. “Dude, what’s going on?”

Sandler stutters a little and responds, “Nobody even thought about what I was wearing until you brought it up,” after O’Brien asks him what he’s wearing.

The 50 First Dates star is then told by O’Brien, “You’re dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 a.m., Adam.”

In true Sandler fashion, the Grown Ups star defended himself by saying, “You know what, I like the way I look, because I’m a good person.” What I wear or don’t wear doesn’t matter to me. If you were so offended by my stylish workout shorts and fluffy sweatshirt that you felt compelled to make fun of me in front of my peers…

O’Brien quickly apologized from the stage, smirked, and glanced down at the podium behind him.

Sandler stood up and announced to the crowd, “I’m leaving. I must go, I must go!

The comedian said, “No, it’s not you, it’s him,” while the audience yelled, “no!” and pleaded with him to stay.

“You caused this!” Sandler then pointed to O’Brien, who was fighting to control his laughs during the amusing conversation.

Sandler invited everyone to join him for a game of five-on-five basketball at Veteran Park tonight before departing the ceremony. tip-off at midnight. “I have the guy from Nosferatu on my team,” he said in jest.

    Nod from the Golden Globes
Sandler then proceeded down the aisle in the direction of Timothée Chalamet, 29, who received a nomination for his role in the 2024 movie A Complete Unknown.

“And something else. CHALAMET! After shouting in the actor’s ear and hugging him, Sandler left the Dolby theater to thunderous ovation from the crowd.

Chalamet’s name sounded like something Sandler would utter in one of his trademark exaggerated voices, a joke that host Nikki Glaser made at the Golden Globes earlier this year.

When Glaser asked Sandler to say Chalamet’s name aloud, he did it in typical Sandler fashion, which elicited a lot of laughter.

What do you think of Sandler and O’Brien’s undoubtedly scripted monologue? In order for us to hear from others, kindly share this tale and then let us know what you think!
