Biana Censori’s Grammy 2025 red carpet appearance has sparked numerous comparisons to Kanye West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Kardashian, 44, uploaded photos on Instagram of herself at the 2025 Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala. She wore a unique creation from the high fashion label Balmain.
She donned a halter-neck dress with crocodile scale imprints and sheer strips across the midriff. The back of the dress dropped to just above the reality star’s derrière.
“Now that’s how you show a lil skin,” one person commented on the photo.
“Yes! “I love Kim using her platform for good rather than getting naked on the red carpet,” another user commented.
Her sister Khloé Kardashian also commented on the photo, writing, “You are one of one.” Another comment on Kim Kardashian’s picture said, “The slight buttcrack in this dress is EVERYTHING.”
Kardashian, who began dating Kanye West in 2012, announced her first pregnancy with the rapper that same year. The couple married in 2014 and divorced in 2022. They had four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kanye, now known as Ye, married Bianca Censori in 2022. Censori is now the stepmother to Kardashian’s four children. Since her romance with Ye, the Australian model has unveiled several provocative looks.
Many people believe the Grammy-winning musician coerced his wife into wearing these costumes.
Kardashian has also discussed how Kanye influences her wardrobe choices on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, stating, “Kanye’s always dressed me, always styled me.”
She stated that while it was their “thing” and that the rapper would send her looks via email even before they started dating, she still desired some “independence.”
“That has always been our thing. But there’s also a part of me that wants complete freedom,” she told her sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian during her reality show.
Julia Fox, Ye’s ex-girlfriend, has also discussed how Ye plans to restrict her public outfit choices.
In her 2023 memoir, Down the Drain, she mentioned a ‘old boyfriend’ who had a ‘crew’ to work on her clothing. She also said that Ye hired two of her best friends to style her, and one of them arrived midway through their date with a “mountain of clothes.”
“I’m happy to see her, but it’s a little strange he didn’t just tell me he didn’t like my original outfit,” she claimed in her memoir.
She also stated in the book that the “master gaslighter,” whom she did not identify, offered her to have her boobs done simply because a dress did not “fit quite right.”
She described how she ultimately regretted the relationship, stating that it was “probably the most uncomfortable position” she had ever been in.
“I regret that relationship so much,” she stated in an interview with The Sunday Times.
“I detest it! It was only a few weeks, yet I had enough to last a lifetime.”
