In a world where love should have no bounds, why do we let appearances and judgment get in the way?
Lauren Kaye, 31, believed she had found her love in Hannah, 29.
But when the couple married, their euphoria was clouded by nasty remarks and allegations.
Lauren Kaye and her partner, Hannah, planned to celebrate their love when they married in a beautiful, small ceremony last summer.
However, what should have been a joyful event suddenly went sour when online trolls made rude and hateful remarks about the British couple. Among the cruel jibes, others even accused Lauren of being a ‘paedophile’ simply because Hannah looked young.
Lauren, 31, has handled everything with great bravery, brushing off nasty words with grace and tenacity. Despite claims that her boyfriend resembles a 10-year-old boy, she remains calm.
“I take it with a pinch of salt and ignore it. “I am a very calm person, and the online comments do not bother me,” she told The Mirror.
However, it is not the internet trolls who annoy her the most; it is when they are in public and people look right past Hannah to talk to her, presuming she is her’mom’.
“It does bother me..”
The couple’s encounter exemplifies the frustrating reality of being evaluated purely on appearance, with many mistaking Hannah, 29, for a small child.
She is frequently requested to provide ID for age-restricted purchases and even for ordinary duties such as home deliveries. But Hannah doesn’t let the criticism bother her.
“It bothers me being compared to a child while I’m with Lauren because, of course, that would render our relationship completely wrong. “I would always rather be called a child than a paedophile,” she said.
Despite some detractors pointing out her outfit choices and advising a makeover to escape the attacks, Hannah remained unconcerned.
“It’s 2025. Having a ‘butch partner’ isn’t very uncommon. “There’s nothing I should feel compelled to hide,” she stated firmly.
Lauren and Hannah met on Tinder two years ago, and their love story began there.
Triplets through IVF
Lauren proposed in January 2024, and the pair married seven months later at a registrar office in Surrey, United Kingdom. Then they had bigger dreams: becoming parents to triplets through IVF in Cyprus.
Lauren, who already has an 11-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, struggled to locate appropriate IVF choices in the UK. But with Hannah at her side, she is looking forward to the next chapter of their family’s journey.
“I cannot wait to do it again. Lauren added, “I want to become a parent with a supportive partner by my side.”
Lauren and Hannah recently announced that they were expecting triplets after their first IVF try.
So far, the pregnancy appears to be proceeding normally. Lauren wrote on Instagram, “I woke up to the triplets wiggling away (after they kept me up with heartburn for most of the bloody night!)”
The couple has revealed that the triplets will be born by C-section.
On their GoFundMe page, the couple expressed their profound appreciation for the outpouring of love from their online community.
What will be the next chapter of their journey?
Hannah lost her job, and with the triplets at high danger of being born prematurely, their fans encouraged them to launch a fundraising drive to help cover the costs of the babies’ birth and any prospective hospital stays.
Lauren was first hesitant to start the fundraising, but the enormous number of messages offering assistance convinced them to go forward with it.
They also took the opportunity to thank individuals who had previously given to their wish list, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the goodwill, even from the trolls. With their hearts full, the couple is delighted to share the next stage of their adventure with their supporting online family.
While the trolls continue to disseminate venom, Lauren and Hannah remain focused on the future, determined to create a life of love and happiness, regardless of what others believe.
