The iconic Black Sabbath leader Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that he will not be attending the Power Trip Festival in October because of persistent health concerns. “As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October,” Ozzy said, despite his will to go back on stage.

Ozzy has had multiple operations and been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, among other health issues, in recent years. At first, he intended to resume performing in the summer of 2024. He said, “I moved forward optimistically when the offer to do this show came in,” but his health has come first.

He wrote, “I love you all, and I will see you soon,” as a way to thank everyone. Above all, I want to express my gratitude to my band, crew, and fans for their steadfast devotion and continuous support.

Support from fans rushed in, urging Ozzy to put his health first. One admirer said, “You’ve given us years of enjoyment; there’s no need to apologize.”

When Ozzy thinks back on his career, he says, “I am determined to get back on stage, even if I have to be nailed to a board and wheeled on.” He is still committed to performing.
