In 2018, Jada Pinkett Smith disclosed that she had alopecia.

Jada just celebrated her 52nd birthday by revealing her new pink hair.

Fans now assert, meanwhile, that the actress merely shaved her head and never suffered from alopecia.

Jada Pinkett Smith has been transparent about her experience with alopecia, an autoimmune illness. The Will Smith-married actress acknowledged in 2021 that she suffered from alopecia, a condition that had resulted in her hair loss.

The “Girls Trip” actress has been sporting a bald head since disclosing that she suffers from alopecia. Her admirers are also accustomed to her hairless appearance. The mother of two hasn’t hesitated to talk about the illness over the years.

In 2018, Jada initially discussed this on “Red Table Talk.” The actress claimed that she was experiencing problems with hair loss. She also mentioned how scary it was at first. She recalled, “One day, I was in the shower and had just handfuls of hair in my hands.”

The actress was concerned about her hair loss. She acknowledged that she shook at the thought of growing bald and losing her hair. Jada decided to go bald after discovering she had alopecia and would continue to lose hair.

Jada also revealed a video in December 2021 that revealed a mark on her head and verified that she had alopecia. She claimed that the tattoo started to show after she turned bald and that she was merely trying to dispel the myth that she had had brain surgery. She wrote, “This alopecia and I are going to be friends—period!”

After Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars, several fans dubbed Jada a “liar” and stated that’s when she first claimed to have alopecia.

On August 7, 2023, the 52-year-old also uploaded a photo of herself and mentioned that her hair appeared to be growing back. Although her hair appeared to be attempting to grow back, she still had patches of baldness on her head. Jada posted a photo of herself with short black and white-dyed hair. Her hair appears to have grown much longer today.

In honor of her birthday, Jada just revealed a fresh pink hairstyle. When the “Set It Off” actress told her fans about her experience with alopecia, they responded right away, pointing out that her hair seemed to have thickened.

“A birthday sherbet surprise within a Virgo sunrise,” was how Jada described the unusual hair on her head. The actress turned 18 on September 18, 2023, was her birthday. Her fans were surprised to see hair on her head because they were accustomed to her hair being bald.

After spotting Jada in recent photos with hair on her head, fans declared she had never suffered from alopecia. “Alopecia is not her condition! Simply more drama to get attention, an admirer commented. Jada was accused by her fans of “shaving her own head” and then feigning alopecia.

Jada was praised by other admirers for being “absolutely beautiful with or without hair,” nevertheless. A admirer concurred, saying, “Bald, short hair, shoulder-length, or down her back she’s beautiful.” Nevertheless, a few admirers suggested Jada reveal how she continued to grow her hair after receiving an alopecia diagnosis.

Some admirers referred to Jada as a “liar” and argued that she only announced her alopecia was due to an onstage slap from Will Smith to Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. Because Chris made fun of Jada’s baldness, the actor hit him.

Chris likened Jada’s shorn hairdo to Demi Moore’s from the 1997 movie “GI Jane.” Chris’s jokes made many laugh, but Jada didn’t seem to get it. Will stormed onto the stage, slapped Chris, and demanded that the comedian refrain from mentioning his wife.

Supporters now assert that Jada concealed her husband’s attack on Chris by claiming she had alopecia. Jada had previously admitted that she freaked out when she lost her hair. Nevertheless, the actress looked to be going toward having lovely short hair and accepted her bald head.
