The beloved Budweiser Clydesdales made a triumphant return to the Super Bowl commercial spotlight, accompanied by an adorable co-star: Roy Hawn Russell, the yellow lab belonging to Hollywood power couple Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
Roy, the lovable yellow lab adopted by Hawn and Russell in 2020, made his television debut during the Super Bowl commercial break. The excitement was palpable in the Russell household as they gathered to watch the ad, with Goldie sharing a video on Instagram capturing the moment of pride and joy as they spotted their furry family member on screen. Kurt Russell couldn’t contain his enthusiasm, cheering on Roy with fist pumps and exclamations of “There’s Roy!”
For Goldie Hawn, the evening was a special occasion centered around celebrating their cherished pet’s milestone. She expressed her delight in the caption of her Instagram post, emphasizing that while she enjoys watching football, this Super Bowl was all about witnessing Roy’s debut in the Budweiser commercial.
Adding to the family’s excitement, Kate Hudson, Hawn’s daughter and acclaimed actress, shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of the family’s reaction to Roy’s television appearance. In one Instagram post, she humorously noted the abundance of “thespians” in their family but declared Roy as the true star of the evening.
Throughout the heartwarming ad, Roy stole the spotlight as he guided the majestic beer horses through snowy terrain, earning plenty of affectionate pets, pats, and cheers from his proud family and friends. It was a memorable moment not only for Budweiser fans but also for the Russell family, celebrating their furry companion’s moment in the spotlight.
