The role of Tina Lord that actress Andrea Evans is best known for is from the daytime serial opera “One Life to Live.” The television programs “Passions,” “DeVanity,” “Low Down Dirty Shame,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Bay,” “Ice Cream Man,” and “Hit List” are among the others with notable credits.
Evans unfortunately passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 66. According to IMDB, breast cancer was the cause of her death. Nick Leicht, her manager, told PEOPLE that I’ve been working with Andrea for the past seven years. Working with her was a true joy because of her wonderful talent.
After learning of Evans’ passing, a large number of her well-known friends and former co-stars posted moving tributes. In a tweet, Frank Valentini, a former executive producer of “One Life to Live,” wrote, “I am so sad to learn of Andrea Evans’ loss. Andrea was already a well-known celebrity when I began working at OLTL. She was a pleasure to work with and was always helpful and nice. An absolute lunchtime legend that is sadly missed. I feel bad for her family and friends.
Kassie DePavia wrote on Facebook, “So sadden to hear of the demise of this talented actress. She contributed to the rise to prominence of OLTL. Cancer is awful.
We fell short. Actor Eric Martsolf made a statement about Andrea Evans on Facebook. She was tremendously responsible, and she also showed me that daytime employment doesn’t always have to seem like labor. The twinkle in her eyes when she smiled, which seemed to happen frequently, will be missed. May you rest in peace, Andrea, and know that we are grateful for all you done.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to the loved ones of Andrea Evans. She will forever be a part of the Bold and Beautiful family. 💙 pic.twitter.com/f6O3C68BJg

Evans originally made an appearance as Tina on “One Life to Live” in 1979, but she abruptly quit the show in the 1990s. In 2008, one of the characters whose return to the show was most frequently requested, did so. Watch the video below to learn more about her return to the program and the factors that led to her choice to quit in the 1990s.
