The long-awaited DNA test results that determined if Julia Wendell, a 21-year-old woman, was in fact Madeleine McCann are now available.
After sensationally claiming to be Madeleine McCann, who mysteriously vanished from an apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, while her parents were out to dinner, Julia Wendell of Poland has gone viral. Madeleine was only 4 years old when she vanished, and the search for her never ended.
Under the pseudonym “iammadeleinemccan,” Julia amassed more than a million followers on her Instagram account with the caption “Help me, I need to talk with Kate and Gerry McCann.” She provided physical evidence to support her assertions, including comparisons to the missing Madeleine’s well-known uncommon eye deformity and other facial traits. Julia claimed she remembered very little to nothing about her childhood.
In interviews with the Daily Star, Julia stated: “I have had a very difficult life and have experienced a lot of trauma; the man who abused me was a German pedophile who was a potential witness in the Madeleine McCann case.
“I had never heard of this case until I started questioning my parents about my upbringing because I barely remember it. The recollections are all very hazy, and whenever I talk to my parents, they usually try to change the subject and things don’t seem to add together.
I don’t remember being taken away, Julia continued. I mean, I don’t really remember much of my childhood. I have requested my mother for pictures of the time she was carrying me, as well as any medical papers and any photos from my childhood, but she never provides them instead simply dismissing my requests as ridiculous.
Julia left Poland and moved to the US in order to gain more attention. She even appeared on Dr. Phil, a well-known talk show.
DNA testing results demonstrate that Julia is not Madeleine.
Julia’s ethnicity has also been revealed to include some Lithuanian and Romanian ancestry in addition to Polish.
She is totally 100% Polish, according to Dr. Fia Johansson, who was speaking to RadarOnline. She has a trace amount of Lithuanian and Russian blood, but Polish, according to the test findings.
Dr. Johansson, who has been granted power of attorney over Julia, stated that she had a “gut feeling” that her client wasn’t the lost child even before the findings were made public.
Dr. Johansson stated, “We learned a few things, one of which is that Julia’s mum is in fact now thought to be her mum, hence she is not Madeleine McCann.
They may not be certain, but they think Julia’s mother is really Julia’s mother. The side of her father is being questioned. That is something they are looking into as part of their work with the DNA.
But she is not Madeleine McCann; she is actually Julia’s mother, contrary to what they think.
The search for Madeleine has now been given a 12-month extension, and £302,470 in funding has been authorized, giving her parents new hope.
We sincerely hope that this case will be resolved in the end.
