After the breakout success of her debut album Hungover, Ella Langley spent much of 2025 riding a major wave of momentum. Songs like “You Look Like You Love Me” dominated playlists, and her collaboration with Riley Green swept the CMA Awards, earning honors for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year. She also took home New Female Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards. Closing out the year on a high note, Langley dropped her single “Choosin’ Texas.” And she clearly wasn’t ready to slow down.

Now, with her sights set on 2026, Langley has officially announced her sophomore album, Dandelion.

The country standout shared the news with fans on Instagram, writing, “So excited to finally announce that my sophomore album Dandelion will be out April 10th & the title track is yours this Friday! Welcome to Dandelionland.”

While the full album won’t arrive for a few more months, Langley is giving fans an early taste with the release of the title track on Friday, January 30. Along with the song, she opened up about the meaning behind the album’s name.

“Dandelions are masters of survival,” Langley explained. “They grow in the harshest conditions. People see them as weeds, but they actually symbolize hope, healing, and resilience. This record shows so much growth for me. I’ve never felt more like myself.”

Dandelion Feels Like Fireflies and Summer Nights

As Langley poured those ideas into Dandelion, she kept listeners at the heart of the project — especially anyone who might feel isolated or unheard.

“I want people to dance, to sing, to hear these songs and feel like they’re not alone,” she said. “I want them to forget everything for a minute, to daydream, and just live inside the music.”

Known for writing lyrics that linger, Langley described the album as deeply personal, shaped by quiet moments, dirt roads, and childhood memories. “This record feels like fireflies in the summertime,” she shared. “Windows down on a red dirt road. The best kind of Sunday afternoon.”

She added, “It reminds me of being a kid, when it felt like there were never enough hours in the day. Dandelion is really a love letter to that feeling.”

While Langley is still waiting to see how fans respond to the album, she believes the universe might already be in on the joke. “I found out that dandelion tea is actually a natural liver detox,” she said. “So calling this record Dandelion after an album called Hungover just made perfect sense to me.”
