    • “A FLEETING REMARK — BUT THE ENTIRE STAGE OF PRIVATE LIFE LIGHTS UP.” Under the flashing lights of the cameras and the sound of rolling suitcases on the cold stone floor of LAX, Rick Springfield emerged as if he had just been pulled onto an impromptu Hollywood stage. No intro music, no script, he delivered a short but sharp statement, echoing through the noisy space like a guitar note cutting through the silence. That moment suddenly transformed into a post-divorce monologue, where Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban — though absent — were still placed under an invisible spotlight. While the legal documents coldly closed with numbers and clauses, that advice carried the raw rhythm of rock and roll: frank, bold, and unvarnished. The crowd stopped, the cameras held their frames, and the statement spread like a controversial chorus. Not an official performance, but it was a moment when the stage lit up — where a brief remark was enough to stir up all of Hollywood.

Rick Springfield Has Blunt Advice for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban After Divorce

Rick Springfield is never one to sugarcoat things.

Just two weeks after Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban finalized their divorce, the 76-year-old Jessie’s Girl singer was asked for his thoughts — and his advice — while speaking with TMZ at LAX earlier this week.

His response was short, direct, and unmistakably Springfield.

    “Get laid,” he said.

When pressed on how he felt about the high-profile split itself, Springfield shrugged off the question, replying, “I don’t know. You got me there.”

Kidman, 58, filed for divorce from Urban, also 58, on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences after 19 years of marriage. The former couple share two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (15).

Earlier this month, the pair quietly finalized their settlement. According to court documents obtained by Daily Mail, both Kidman and Urban waived any claims to child support or spousal support, agreed to cover their own legal fees, and split their assets privately to mutual satisfaction. Each will retain property already in their possession.

Custody arrangements grant Kidman primary custody, with the actress spending 306 days per year with their daughters, while Urban will have 59 days. Despite both reportedly earning monthly incomes exceeding $100,000, they agreed to zero dollars in child support.

Following the split, Kidman has reportedly been focusing on her children and career. A source told People that the actress is feeling “refreshed and optimistic,” adding that she’s enjoying family time and settling into a calm routine. She recently spent the holidays in Australia and traveled to South America before returning to Nashville with her daughters.

Urban, meanwhile, has kept a lower profile. One source told New Idea that the country star has struggled emotionally since the breakup, claiming he feels “completely lost” and has been throwing himself into work as a way to cope.

Romantically, Urban has been linked to several musicians in recent months, including Maggie Baugh — rumors that were later dismissed — and more recently 26-year-old country singer Karley Scott Collins. Collins has since publicly denied any romantic involvement, calling the reports “absolutely ridiculous and untrue.”

Reports have also suggested that Urban’s daughters are hesitant about any potential new relationship, with one insider stating they are currently focused on their mother and adjusting to the changes in their family life.

As for Springfield’s advice? It may not be subtle — but it certainly made headlines.
