What’s New in Battle of Champions
Season 29 introduces a bold competitive structure built around innovation and legacy. Each of the four rounds will feature a brand-new element, making this one of the most experimental seasons in the show’s history.
Blind Auditions: Triple Turn Competition
For the first time, the Coaches will battle for the most 3-Chair Turns during the Blinds. The Coach who racks up the most triple turns earns a strategic advantage heading into the Battles. Each Coach will finish the Blinds with 10 Artists on their team.
Battle Rounds: Super Steal Twist
The winner of the Triple Turn Competition receives a Super Steal — a one-time power move that blocks all other Coaches from stealing an Artist, guaranteeing that Coach’s claim during the Battles.
Knockouts: In-Season All-Star Competition
Each Coach will bring back two Artists from their past teams to compete in special head-to-head sing-offs. The Coach with the most All-Star wins earns two guaranteed Artists in the Season 29 Finale. Adding even more nostalgia, original Season 1 Coach CeeLo Green will return to judge the All-Star Knockouts.
Semi-Finals & Finale: Expanded Voting
The Semi-Finals will narrow the competition from the Top 9 down to a Top 4 Finale. For the first time ever, voting will include a special in-studio group made up of super-fans and former Voice Artists, giving them real-time voting power during the Semi-Finals and Finale.
