Lainey Wilson Brings Country Christmas Cheer to the NFL
Country music superstar Lainey Wilson spent Christmas Day exactly where she belongs—on a massive stage, spreading holiday cheer. The “4x4xU” singer joined music icon Snoop Dogg for Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday Halftime Show during the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions matchup at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Dressed in a sparkling white winter jumpsuit paired with her signature cowboy hat, Lainey made a show-stopping entrance at midfield, arriving in a sleigh before launching into a festive rendition of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”
Adding an extra heartwarming touch to the moment, Lainey shared the sleigh with her fiancé, former NFL quarterback Duck, making the performance as personal as it was spectacular.
Snoop Dogg kicked off the halftime show in a red, fur-trimmed coat, opening the broadcast with a holiday-inspired twist on “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music, joined by ballerinas for a theatrical and unexpected start to the celebration.
Lainey’s Unstoppable 2025
The NFL appearance was just one more highlight in what has been a truly remarkable year for Lainey Wilson. Just last month, she made history by hosting the CMA Awards solo, becoming only the third woman ever to do so—following country legends Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.
She didn’t just host the night—she dominated it, taking home three of the ceremony’s biggest honors: Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year (for the fourth time), and Album of the Year.
Earlier in the year, Lainey also swept the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, winning both Entertainer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.
From award show stages to NFL halftime spotlights, Lainey Wilson continues to prove she’s one of the biggest forces in country music today.
Congratulations to Lainey on an incredible year—and one unforgettable country Christmas. 🎄🤠
