Riley Green is stacking up the wins lately.
Over the weekend, he earned his fourth Country Airplay #1 with “Don’t Mind If I Do,” his second duet with Ella Langley. It marks Ella’s second #1 on that chart, and together they become only the second duo since 1990 to score multiple collaborative #1 hits — the first being Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani in 2020.
Riley also hits another milestone: he’s the first artist since Taylor Swift to notch back-to-back Country Airplay #1s with songs written completely by himself. His solo write “Worst Way” topped the chart for two weeks in June.
During his recent Las Vegas shows at the National Finals Rodeo, Riley also debuted a new unreleased duet called “Go Again” with Alabama newcomer Hannah McFarland, who will join him on his Cowboy As It Gets tour next year. Based on early fan reactions, this one seems poised to become a favorite once the studio version drops.
A preview of the lyrics includes:
“Last night’s red wine has my head hurting,
Didn’t sleep a wink all night,
Somehow girl you still look perfect…
One night with you ain’t near enough for what I’m needing…”
Given the success of his duets with Ella Langley—including their award-winning hit “You Look Like You Love Me”—it’s clear this format suits him well.
Riley also sat down with Katie Neal on Katie & Company last week and revealed that he’s been recording new music that strips his sound back even further. He said the new material is raw, acoustic-centered, and minimally produced, which he described as the direction he’s wanted to go for some time.
He explained:
“I feel like it’s a little rougher, which I really enjoy. We built everything around an acoustic track and kept the production light. That’s the direction I’ve wanted to go.”
He didn’t commit to a release timeline, but considering his Cowboy As It Gets 2026 Tour begins in April, it’s safe to assume new music will arrive before then.
