Trisha Yearwood Hosts Christmas in Nashville
Trisha Yearwood officially rang in the holiday season on Wednesday (December 3), stepping into the spotlight as host of NBC’s Christmas in Nashville. Filmed inside Luke Combs’ Category 10 Bar, the special delivered festive charm straight from the heart of Music City.
The star-studded lineup included memorable performances from Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers, Lauren Alaina, Ne-Yo, The War and Treaty, and Trace Adkins, giving viewers a mix of comedy, soul, and country warmth.
Trisha Brings Playful Holiday Energy to the Stage
Yearwood lit up the room with a lively performance of the Christmas classic “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” Originally written for the 1966 animated film How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the song has become a seasonal staple — and Trisha’s spirited rendition kept the tradition alive with her signature charm and powerhouse vocals.
The performance arrives just weeks after Trisha released her new holiday album, Christmastime, which features her studio version of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” The record also includes favorites such as “Candy Cane Lane,” “Blue Christmas,” and a brand-new original song titled “Merry Christmas, Valentine,” co-written and performed with her husband, country superstar Garth Brooks.
Christmastime marks Yearwood’s first holiday album since 2016’s Christmas Together, also recorded alongside Brooks.
