How Country Stars Spent Thanksgiving 2025: Family, Food & Holiday Traditions
Thanksgiving fell on Thursday, November 27th this year, and while families across the country gathered around the table for turkey, football, and togetherness, country artists were no different. Between charity events, family photos, parade performances, and a few adorable baby milestones, here’s how some of your favorite stars marked the holiday.
Tracy Lawrence
Although he didn’t share much about his Thanksgiving Day itself, Tracy Lawrence spent the week pouring his time—and heart—into his annual Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert, now in its 20th year. The event kicked off on Tuesday, November 25th at Category 10 with performances from Gretchen Wilson, Eric Paslay, Chris Cagle, Halfway to Hazard, and Lawrence himself.
On Wednesday, the famous Turkey Fry took over the Nashville Fairgrounds. By Thursday, Lawrence announced astonishing numbers: $355,000 raised, 5,350 turkeys donated, and over 50,000 families fed. This came after he revealed earlier in the week that 650 turkeys were lost due to a refrigeration issue—so he called on Nashville to help replace them, and the community responded by donating over 2,400.
Gretchen Wilson
Gretchen kept it simple and sweet, sharing a photo of her Thanksgiving plate with the caption: “Thanks, Mom!” Sometimes the best holidays are the ones spent at home.
Lainey Wilson
Fresh off her CMA Entertainer of the Year win, Lainey Wilson celebrated Thanksgiving in New York City as part of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Bundled in a red, fluffy coat and her signature black hat, she performed two songs—her Grammy-nominated “Somewhere Over Laredo” and the holiday version of “Peace, Love, and Cowboys.”
She later shared a carousel of parade-day highlights on Instagram with the caption, “It’s givin’ thanksgivin’.”
Luke Combs
Luke didn’t personally post, but his wife Nicole shared new holiday family photos featuring their sons Tex and Beau—plus one very special detail. Since the couple is expecting baby number three, the final photo in the set showed Tex and Beau placing their hands on Nicole’s belly. Her caption summed up the moment perfectly: “so much to be thankful for always 🤍”
Lauren Alaina
Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold celebrated their first Thanksgiving as parents. They welcomed daughter Beni Doll Arnold earlier this year, and Lauren posted a series of adorable family photos capturing their cozy, joy-filled day.
Kane Brown
Kane Brown’s wife, Katelyn, shared a warm collection of Thanksgiving snapshots featuring their growing family—daughters Kingsley and Kodi, son Krewe, and of course their beloved dogs. “So much to be thankful for… hoping everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!” she wrote.
Koe Wetzel
For Koe Wetzel, this Thanksgiving marked his first as a father. Koe and his wife Bailey welcomed daughter Woods Madison Wetzel in May. The couple shared a sweet holiday family picture on their Instagram Stories, showing the three of them enjoying the day together.
Jason Aldean
Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany spent the holiday somewhere tropical, celebrating with their children Memphis and Navy. Brittany’s parents also joined them, making it a full family affair. They posted a fun video recap of their sunshine-filled Thanksgiving.
Reba McEntire
Reba and fiancé Rex Linn opted for a relaxed holiday at the movie theater, catching a showing of Hamnet. Reba jokingly admitted that one of them spilled all the popcorn—and clarified it wasn’t the bald one, meaning the guilt fell squarely on her.
Dolly Parton
Dolly didn’t reveal her Thanksgiving plans, but she did share a heartfelt message to fans, thanking them for their love and wishing everyone a warm, happy holiday.
