Ella Langley Shines With Two Sold-Out Shows at the Ryman
A Breakthrough Moment for a Rising Star

Alabama-born singer Ella Langley continued her rapid rise in country music with back-to-back sold-out shows at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium over the weekend. Tied for the most nominations at the upcoming CMA Awards and enjoying a breakthrough year, Ella described the experience as nothing short of a “dream come true.”

The Ryman — once home to the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974 — has long been regarded as sacred ground for country artists. Performing there is a milestone; selling it out twice is a statement.

Ella’s second show on November 8 marked both the finale of her Still Hungover Tour and her final headlining performance of 2025. Afterward, she took a moment to thank fans and her team:

“Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to these shows, to everyone listening to the music. To my team & crew. None of this is possible without y’all. Ending this year feeling so incredibly grateful for this life.”

A Surprise Nobody Saw Coming: Morgan Wallen Joins Ella Onstage
The Crowd Roars As Morgan Walks Out

During Saturday night’s performance, Ella stunned the audience with an unannounced guest: Morgan Wallen. The crowd inside the Ryman erupted as the two launched into a duet of “Cover Me Up.”

Originally written by Jason Isbell for his 2013 album Southeastern, the song is a raw, soul-baring tribute to love, redemption, and recovery. Wallen’s version — featured on Dangerous: The Double Album — became a fan favorite and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs despite never being released as an official single.

Ella couldn’t hide her excitement as she introduced him:

“There ain’t no better person to come out and help me with this one than Mr. Morgan Wallen.”

She admitted she had been trying to convince him to perform it with her for years:

“It honestly has taken two whole tours to do this.”

    Morgan, grinning, added:

“It takes a lot more than an awards show to get me out to Broadway these days, I’ll tell you that.”

A Duet Years in the Making

Ella previously opened for Morgan on both his One Night At A Time Tour and his I’m The Problem Tour, forging a musical friendship that made this Ryman moment feel both natural and long overdue.

Their harmonies blended effortlessly — Ella’s smoky, emotional delivery pairing with Morgan’s distinct drawl — creating a rendition that many fans say was one of the night’s most unforgettable highlights.
