Christina Applegate, who is known for her roles in Married… with Children and Dead to Me, has said that she has been in the hospital more than 30 times since she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2021. The condition has had a big effect on her health and daily life.

Applegate talked about her most recent hospital stay on her Messy podcast, which she co-hosts with actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler. The episode was recorded from her hospital room, which gave listeners a raw and personal look at her ongoing health battle.

She made it clear that she wasn’t doing it for publicity when she recorded from the hospital. “By the way, people out there, I’m not doing a podcast from the hospital because I thought it would be a cool idea,” Applegate said. The timing was just a coincidence; they had already set up the recording before she went to the hospital.

Applegate admitted that her health was not good right now, saying, “They won’t let me leave yet because things are, things are messy.” She didn’t go into detail about the symptoms or problems that made her go to the hospital, but her tone made it sound like things have been especially hard for her lately.

Even though things were hard, she stayed positive and told her listeners, “But I’m going to be okay.” The statement was both a personal affirmation and a message of strength to other people who have MS or other long-term illnesses.

Many people have been inspired by how open and honest she has been about her journey with MS. Her podcast gives people a place to talk about what it’s like to live with a chronic illness and helps people who are going through the same thing connect and understand each other.
