This 4-Year-Old May Be Parker McCollum’s Youngest Superfan—And His Gold Chain Cowboy Birthday Proves It
Move over, country music diehards—4-year-old Jaxon Williford might just be the biggest Parker McCollum fan around.
To celebrate his birthday, Jaxon—better known as Jax—threw a party with a full-blown Gold Chain Cowboy theme, honoring the album that made McCollum a household name. His mom, Lana, shared clips of the celebration on TikTok, where one video quickly gathered nearly 80,000 views. In it, Jax confidently strums a mini black guitar and sings along to “What Kinda Man” into a gold microphone, standing in front of a massive Gold Chain Cowboy banner and a matching gold chain balloon.
Wearing a button-up shirt, black cap, and—of course—a gold chain, the birthday boy embodied McCollum’s signature look. As Lana explained, the theme was all Jax’s idea.
“He was adamant for months that it had to be a Parker McCollum party,” she said. “The Gold Chain Cowboy album was the first of Parker’s that Jax really connected with.”
The birthday bash featured karaoke (with hours of Jax performing McCollum favorites), a custom cake, BBQ, brownies, and gold chain party favors. Lana even researched McCollum’s favorite foods to make sure the menu was just right.
And when it came to gifts? Jax had one rule—everything had to be Parker-related. He was thrilled to unwrap two gold chains, a microphone and stand, McCollum-style white T-shirts, posters, new boots, a branded hat, and even a black guitar.
“He pays close attention to the details in Parker’s music videos,” Lana said. “He asked for a ‘ripped up and burned up shirt like in Burn It Down,’ and his preschool teacher actually gave him one—plus a dupe of the red Fresh Western hat. He was so excited, he didn’t take it off for days.”
Though McCollum couldn’t attend the party himself, Lana made sure the day still felt special. She ordered a signed copy of McCollum’s new CD addressed directly to Jaxon.
“As far as he knows, Parker sent him a birthday gift because he couldn’t be there,” she said.
Jax’s love for Parker McCollum goes back to when he was barely a year old, listening to Gold Chain Cowboy in the truck with his dad. That passion hasn’t faded. Before McCollum’s newest self-titled album dropped, Lana says Jax memorized every new song as it came out, learning them on the drive to daycare.

Now, he hosts daily “concerts” at home—his two-year-old sister often joining in. His current favorite tracks? “Burn It Down,” “What Kinda Man,” “To Be Loved by You,” and “Sunny Days.”
Though Jax has never seen his country hero live, that’s about to change. Lana revealed they’re taking him to Parker McCollum’s show in The Woodlands, Texas, on September 6.
It’ll be Jax’s first-ever country concert—and no doubt, the start of many more cowboy moments to come.
