She cracked the crowd open with raw honesty and wicked humor, firing off the now-viral line, “If Blake Shelton can do this, ANY f—ing person can do this.” People screamed, laughed, even wiped tears as she blended chaos with sweetness the way only she can. Kane Brown Brings Ray Charles’ Classic to Life with Southern Soul & Stadium-Wide Goosebumps

Kane Brown Brings Heartfelt “Georgia On My Mind” to 2025 MLB All-Star Game

Kane Brown opened the 2025 MLB All-Star Game at Atlanta’s Truist Park with a moving performance of Ray Charles’ “Georgia On My Mind,” kicking off the Midsummer Classic with a deep nod to his home state.

Wearing a sleeveless Braves jersey tucked into jeans and a classic belt buckle, the 31-year-old country star stepped onto a bold red circular stage, joined by two backup singers. As the first lines rang out — “Georgia, oh Georgia…” — Brown’s soulful vocals and southern tone turned the stadium into something more intimate, even with 40,000+ fans watching.

The stripped-back arrangement let his voice shine, and the crowd’s response was immediate — a thunder of applause more fitting for a grand slam than a ballad. It was clear the moment hit home.

Ahead of the show, Brown shared his excitement with the MLB Network. “I mean, I ain’t no Ray Charles,” he joked, “but it’s awesome. I’m excited to perform it — and just to be in Braves Stadium. I’m pumped.”

He also reflected on his early love for the game, saying he began playing baseball at age 3. “While other kids were in the dirt, I was chasing outs. I played select ball, traveled all over,” said Brown, who played shortstop and pitcher. “I could swing it too — hit one out of the park and had around 20–25 inside-the-park home runs.”

This wasn’t his first time performing the iconic Ray Charles song — he previously covered it at the 59th ACM Awards — but this rendition, in front of his home crowd, felt especially personal.

The All-Star Game pre-show was packed with powerful performances. Zac Brown Band delivered a stunning National Anthem, Lauren Spencer Smith sang a gorgeous version of Canada’s “O Canada,” and Atlanta legends Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri lit up the field with “Welcome to Atlanta.”

And the game didn’t disappoint either: after a dramatic 6–6 tie through nine innings, the National League clinched victory in a first-ever swing-off tiebreaker. Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber smashed three home runs in three swings, earning him MVP honors.

Kane Brown, meanwhile, continues a banner year. His newest single, “2 Pair,” is already gaining traction, following the success of his latest album The High Road, released in January 2025. He recently wrapped a sold-out U.S. tour and is gearing up for a summer filled with festivals before heading overseas for the European leg of the tour.

To top it all off, Brown will make his feature film debut later this year in The Token Groomsman — closing out 2025 with music, movies, and momentum.
