Jelly Roll Teams Up With Alex Warren for Powerful New Track “Bloodline”

Jelly Roll continues to solidify his place as one of today’s most compelling artists—not just in country music, but across genres. Known for his raw honesty, powerful collaborations, and deep connection to people from all walks of life, Jelly has spent the past year engaging with incarcerated youth and teaming up with an impressive range of artists. His recent pairings include Lainey Wilson (“Save Me”), Post Malone (“Losers”), MGK (“Lonely Road” and “Time of Day”), Wiz Khalifa (“Higher Than Heaven”), and Jessie Murph (“Wild Ones”).

Now, he’s added another standout collaboration to the list.

On Friday, May 23, Alex Warren released “Bloodline” featuring Jelly Roll. The folk-pop anthem tackles themes of generational trauma and healing, offering a message of hope to anyone struggling with the weight of their past. The chorus drives home that message of resilience:

“Oh, my brother / You don’t have to follow in your bloodline
Oh, we got each other / And, if you got tomorrow, then you still got time
To break the chain that left you scarred / From where you came isn’t who you are.”

The two artists first premiered the track live at Stagecoach during Jelly Roll’s headline set in April, earning widespread attention online—particularly on TikTok, where clips of the performance quickly went viral.

In addition to the song’s uplifting message and infectious melody, fans have responded to the visually striking music video. Shared via Instagram, the clips feature Jelly and Alex in medieval-inspired outfits, leading some to compare the aesthetic to Game of Thrones or Vikings.

“This is giving Game of Thrones vibes,” one user commented.
“How do you come out of nowhere with back-to-back bangers?” asked another.

There’s also a noticeable sonic influence in the track’s upbeat production—reminiscent of the late EDM artist Avicii. “I’m just trying to make Avicii proud with this one…” Alex Warren shared in a teaser post prior to the release.

With its emotional depth and cinematic flair, “Bloodline” is already being hailed by fans as a standout release—and potentially one of the most memorable collaborations of the year.
