Scotty McCreery’s little boy, Avery, might only be two years old, but he already knows exactly how to tug at his dad’s heartstrings.
Currently touring, McCreery gave his Facebook fans a special glimpse into life behind the scenes by posting a Reel that captured an incredibly sweet moment—his son sprinting into his arms for a big post-show hug just after the “Damn Strait” star wrapped up his set.
“This is where I head after a show,” McCreery captioned the clip.
Wearing an adorable pair of tiny cowboy boots and protective earmuffs, Avery runs straight to his dad. The two embrace with a big hug, and McCreery even rolls onto his back while holding his giggling boy.
At one point, the toddler curiously fiddles with his dad’s in-ear monitors while McCreery gently chats with him. The only thing that could’ve made the moment more touching? A little “Five More Minutes” playing in the background.
Avery’s already a budding country fan, as he should be. He’s been spotted grooving to George Strait with dad, and even tried singing himself recently.
Naturally, fans flooded the comments with love:
“I’ve been watching you since your American Idol days and have followed your journey ever since. Yes, I voted for you! Watching you now with your little guy just warms my heart. Wishing you and your beautiful family all the love and blessings.”
“He knows what matters most — I love his values!”
McCreery, who just announced a co-headlining tour with Dustin Lynch, will be back out on the road this fall.
