Torvill and Dean Wow Dancing On Ice Viewers with Incredible Routine

It’s been an impressive 35 years since Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean performed their iconic Boléro routine at the 1984 Winter Olympics, but the skating legends proved they’ve still got it during Dancing On Ice’s final show. The performance, which saw Strictly’s James Jordan crowned the winner, was full of surprises, including a magical routine by 61-year-old Jayne and 60-year-old Chris, accompanied by the show’s professional skaters.

Performing a breathtaking routine to Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” Torvill and Dean captivated viewers and were quickly praised on social media. One fan tweeted, “There is NO-ONE, NO-ONE like Torvill and Dean. Just caught up with their performance in Dancing on Ice. Perfection is a very moving thing.” Another added, “There are no words to describe the talent of @torvillanddean. Just wow #idols #DancingOnIce,” while a third wrote, “Could’ve happily watched Torvill and Dean skate for hours, superb that 👏🏼.”

Torvill and Dean’s performance was a fitting tribute to their Olympic gold-winning routine from 1984, which remains one of the most memorable moments in Winter Olympics history. As part of the show, the Dancing On Ice finalists were tasked with performing the routine, adding their own personal touches. After X Factor star Saara Aalto was announced in third place, James Jordan and Wes Nelson both delivered stunning performances, leaving viewers amazed by their skill.

However, there could only be one winner, and professional dancer James Jordan ultimately took home the title, securing the most votes from viewers at home.
