Donald Trump and Elon Musk have grown increasingly close over the past year. Musk has thrown his support behind Trump’s re-election campaign—both financially and through his social media platform, X—while Trump, in turn, rewarded him by appointing him as the head of the newly-established (and highly controversial) Department of Government Efficiency.
Theirs is a story of resilience, sacrifice, compassion, bravery, and… love?
That’s certainly what some might have thought when an unexpected video began playing in the cafeteria of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), displaying the moment Donald Trump kissed Elon Musk’s feet.
“When did this happen?” you may ask. “How did I miss that?”
Well, you didn’t—it never actually happened.
Despite its jaw-dropping nature, the video in question is AI-generated. But that hasn’t stopped it from spreading like wildfire after Vox journalist Rachel Cohen shared a clip of it on X.
An overlaid caption on the video reads: “LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.”
According to reports, the footage was somehow broadcast in the HUD cafeteria, giving government employees an up-close look at their Commander in Chief in an, let’s say, compromising scenario with the man many have criticized for strong-arming his way—unelected, mind you—into the Trump administration.
As of now, the identity of whoever uploaded the AI-generated clip remains a mystery, though you can bet plenty of people are working to uncover the culprit.
“This is hilarious but also deeply unsettling,” one X user commented.
Another chimed in: “Bro has two left feet.”

“That’s not kissing—that’s something else entirely, and I don’t even want to define it,” wrote another.
A fourth person questioned: “Funny, but isn’t it usually the other way around?”
Meanwhile, the Democrats from the US House Committee on Financial Services weighed in: “Not all heroes wear capes.”
In reality, Trump and Musk have wasted no time rolling up their sleeves and pushing forward with their plan to trim down the government, citing what they call excessive spending. The Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency has already sparked major backlash due to its aggressive cuts to the federal workforce.
Yet, if Trump has his way, this is just the beginning—he has reportedly instructed Musk to “ramp things up” even further.
