The beginning of Donald Trump’s tenure as the 47th President of the United States of America took place on Monday, January 20, 2025. Proceed with the reading to learn about the modifications that he has made to the Oval Office.

A refurbished Oval Office, complete with personal touches that reflect President Donald Trump’s trademark style and tastes, is being used to mark the beginning of his second term as President under the Trump administration. One of the most significant enhancements is his well-known Diet Coke button, which enables him to call forth his preferred beverage with the simple touch of a button.

A number of alterations have also been made to the interior design of the office, which now prominently features tributes to a number of historical leaders as well as members of Trump’s family.

In addition to the repatriation of a Winston Churchill bust, the Andrew Jackson vase, and his own photograph, the chamber is now adorned with portraits of members of his family. A collection of challenge coins, each of which represents a different state or government agency, has been meticulously positioned directly behind his chair.

The modifications to the Oval Office were displayed in a TikTok movie that was uploaded on January 21, 2025, which in turn drew the attention of a large number of people. The clip called attention to the alterations that were made as well as the sentimental things that President Trump brought into the area. When asked about their reaction to the video, one user wrote, “Oh Wow [sic].” Someone else chimed in and said, “Beautiful office!!” A third person chimed in, “Fun stuff. “I adore these minuscule particulars.”

On the fifteenth of January, 2025, President Trump was presented with yet another symbolic gesture in appreciation of his inauguration. A commemorative Diet Coke bottle was given to President Trump by James Quincey, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, according to Fox Business and a post on X by Margo Martin, Trump’s Deputy Communications Chief. Quincey also gave the bottle to Trump before the event.

A practice that dates back twenty years, the Coca-Cola Company has a long-standing custom of producing unique bottles for the inauguration of the highest-ranking president.

“The Coca-Cola Company has a tradition of creating commemorative Coca-Cola bottles in celebration of U.S. presidential inaugurations, dating back to 2005,” a spokeswoman for Coca-Cola stated. “This tradition dates back to 2005.” In order to underscore the contributions that Coca-Cola has made to the economy of the United States, the Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey, met with President-Elect Donald Trump to present him with a commemorative bottle of Diet Coke.

It just so happened that President Trump was pondering the historical significance of the Oval Office at the same time that Coca-Cola made this thoughtful gesture of recognition.

In the speech that he delivered after his inauguration, he stressed the significant role that it plays in determining the path that history will take, saying, “Wars begin and end there.” “The Oval Office is the place where everything begins and ends.” It was his statement that brought to light the significance of the room’s history as well as his own personal connection to the room’s heritage.

It has been reported by the Daily Mail that one of the most noticeable alterations is the removal of the portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, which had been prominently displayed over the fireplace when Biden was in attendance. Trump, on the other hand, brought back some aspects from his first term, one of which was the cream-colored rug that had been replaced by the deep blue rug when Biden was in office.

A topic of discussion once again is the infamous Diet Coke button, which was a particular aspect that garnered notice during Trump’s first term in office. According to a description provided by Time in 2017, the button is located on Trump’s desk and is used to initiate the delivery of a glass of Diet Coke by a butler.

According to Demetri Sevastopulo, a journalist for the Financial Times, Trump took the opportunity to demonstrate the functionality of the button, therefore jokingly dispelling concerns that it might be connected to military action. “Everyone does get a little nervous when I press that button,” Trump said in a humorous manner to Sevastopulo at the time.

The personal touch of President Donald Trump is visible in every part of the new design of the Oval Office, further cementing the room as a symbolic space dedicated to the making of decisions that will have a significant impact on the course of history.
