Newly leaked audio reveals Donald Trump praising Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during the 2020 George Floyd protests. Trump, in a call with governors, commended Walz for “dominating” and handling the situation effectively.
He claimed credit for suggesting the National Guard deployment, which the Harris campaign denied. The audio challenges Trump’s claim that Walz mishandled the protests, as Trump acknowledged Walz’s decisive actions.
This comes amid attacks on Walz by GOP figures, as Harris names him her running mate.
