In addition to his beloved pub, Toby Keith cherished his life. Nearly three years after learning he had stomach cancer, the 62-year-old country artist passed away on February 5th. His battle with cancer, his devotion to his family, and his love of music were common topics of conversation.

On July 8, 1961, Toby came into this world in Clinton, Oklahoma. When he was eight years old, his grandmother gave him a guitar, and he immediately became enamored with music. As a teenager, he began penning songs, and after graduating from high school, he and his band Easy Money began performing at area bars.

After gaining some experience in the oil fields, Toby decided to devote more time to his music career. The single “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” from his 1993 debut album contributed greatly to its commercial success.

He married Tricia when he was just twenty years old. They tied the knot in 1984 and went on to have three children together. Toby’s career skyrocketed after the release of singles like “Beer for My Horses,” “I Love This Bar,” and “How Do You Like Me Now?!”

He was a multiple-award winner despite never having won a Grammy. In addition to managing other country performers, Toby launched his own record label.

Growing up with their renowned father, Toby’s kids weren’t particularly interested in music. “Broken Bridges” was one of his film appearances when he dabbled in acting.

Toby did more than only make songs and films; he also launched a clothing brand and a restaurant franchise named “I Love This Bar and Grill.” Together with others, he co-founded Ally’s House, a nonprofit that supports children battling cancer.

Among Toby’s many interests were the care of racehorses and the collection of automobiles and motorbikes. He backed multiple presidents without wanting anyone to assume he had any hidden political purpose.

Toby revealed his stomach cancer diagnosis in 2022. Despite undergoing treatments and surgeries, he continued to perform live. at 2023, he was honored and gave a performance at Sin City.

Toby Keith breathed his last breath at 62 years of age on February 5, 2024. With his loved ones by his side, he courageously battled cancer.
