Dolly Parton plans to reunite Led Zeppelin for her next album, aiming to play “Stairway to Heaven” with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. Parton has done numerous incredible things, including giving away books, funding COVID research, and building an amusement park.

Dolly Parton, known for her country pop, is preparing to release a rock and roll album. Despite being nominated for induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Parton declined the nomination, stating she felt she hadn’t earned the right to be nominated.

Parton, despite her initial objections, remained on the ballot and was voted in by fans. She plans to release a rock album in the future, aiming to prove herself worthy as a “rock and roll” musician.

“I had always wanted to do it,” she said in an interview with Pollstar. “My husband is a big hard rock ’n’ roll fan, and for years I thought, ‘One of these days I’d like to do an album mainly just for him, just to kind of do it.’ When I got nominated, I thought, ‘Why not just go ahead and do it while the iron’s hot? Maybe have some of the greats, the legends of rock ‘n’ roll sing along with me.’”

Parton plans to re-record Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, the lead vocalist and guitarist, after the band’s official breakup in 1980 due to drummer John Bonham’s death.

The band’s surviving members performed a 2007 benefit concert in honor of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, but discussions about a full reunion have stalled.

“We’re 41 years into it now,” Plant told Mojo News in 2021. “The conversation doesn’t really go on now, because that spaceship has [departed].”

Dolly Parton plans to include Robert Plant and Jimmy Page on her new album, “Stairway to Heaven,” to revive the 2007 rock classic with a country-inspired bluegrass guitar cover. Parton is reportedly seeking their return to the studio.

“When I do the rock album, I’m going to actually re-record it – and do it more true to the regular record,” Parton told Pollstar.

Parton plans to feature classic singers on her upcoming album, including Page and Plant, and is not yet able to confirm the names and songs.
